English as a Second Language (ESL)  Committee
 
 
The English as a Second Language (ESL) committee has been formed to discuss issues and make recommendations related to our English language learners.  South Middleton School District has a relatively small, but every changing, population of English language learners.  Some of our ELLs are with us for years, while others attend our schools for only one year while their parents.  In recent years, we have had students from Bangladesh, Bosnia, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, Guatemala, India, Iraq, Lebanon, Mexico, Norway, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, Taiwan, and Vietnam.
