REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL


The South Middleton School District invites qualified vendors to submit proposals for:

CONTRACTED SCHOOL BUS TRANSPORTATION

MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING

All interested vendors must attend a mandatory meeting at which time SOUTH MIDDLETON
SCHOOL DISTRICT personnel will be available to answer questions regarding the proposal.
The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at the
Administration Building located at 4 Academy Street, Suite 100, Boiling Springs PA 17007.

SUBMISSION OF PROPOSALS
The vendor shall submit two (2) signed copies (1 original, 1 photocopy) of the completed
proposal in a sealed envelope clearly marked“TRANSPORTATION RFP”.

Proposals are due by 10:00 a.m. – Tuesday February 25, 2020

TENTATIVE TIME SCHEDULE

Mandatory Pre-bid Meeting: February 12, 2020, 10:00 a.m.
Proposals Due: February 25, 2020, 10:00 a.m.
Conduct Interviews with vendors, if necessary: March 2-6, 2020
Develop and Negotiate Contract with Vendor: March 6-April 6, 2020
Board Award of Contract: April 6, 2020

Transportation for students is provided in accordance with regulations established by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the Motor Vehicle Code and the South Middleton School District Pupil Transportation Policy (#810). The Business and Operations Manager reviews and may grant special transportation service requests within the confines of that policy. Parents requesting a change in transportation service should complete the form below. 

PLEASE BE SURE YOUR REQUEST IS COMPLETE AND DESCRIBES IN DETAIL THE NATURE OF YOUR REQUEST. You will be notified in writing when review of your request has been completed.
