South Middleton School District is pleased to provide access to a web-based product for parents to view schedules, attendance and grade information about their YBMS and BSHS students’ progress from a secure website. This product is called MMS and it is our student information system that is used in all of our school district offices. This access enables parents to view information for their children from a single 'dashboard-style' account. It is designed to keep parents informed and to allow them to participate in their child's learning process.

NEW!! Starting in 2016-17 MMS in partnership with School Office Pro makes it possible for parents to pre-register children for school as 'new students', and to verify and update the demographic data for currently enrolled, also known as 'continuing students'.

To Set-Up Your Own Parent Account for the First Time:

All information that you enter must EXACTLY match our school records, including your email address!

Read below and then,
CLICK HERE (Select "Create Account"):

Parent First Name: EX: Elizabeth
Parent Last Name: EX: Jones
Parent Login Name: EX: LizJ85 (You choose this when you create your account, it does not already exist)
Student's ID Number: EX: 246801 (This is your child's Student/Lunch ID # )

You will create only one personal account per parent using the first child's Student ID number, as described above. Once you have created your parent account, you will be able to click the "My Account" tab to "Add another..." child to that account. Remember that currently parent access to grades, assignments, and attendance is available for students at the middle and high schools, only. For students in the Rice and Iron Forge schools, this account will only allow you only to verify and update demographic information for your elementary school child(ren).

You may enter any Parent Login Name you like. A temporary password will be sent to your email address that is on file with the district. If we do not have your email address on file for your child, contact us before you proceed (using the email of the office staff below).

After creating your account, Log-on to the Parent Portal website again, using your Login Name and that temporary password emailed to you by MMS. If you do not receive the email in your inbox, check your Spam/Junk folder. After logging in with the temporary password, you will immediately be required to change the password to one that you choose and must remember. We cannot see your password and if you forget it, we can only reset you to create a new account.

At this point, you will see the name of your child whose ID number you entered when you created the account. If you have another child attending a district school, click the "My Accounts" tab, to "Add another..." by typing the Student ID number of the next child. If you do not know this number, you will need to contact your child's school via the email address below, and the information will be emailed to you at your email address on file.


Any problem that you cannot resolve. . .

Please, DO NOT call the school office! Use the Email address provided below, so we can document your concern/issue and to and the action provided in writing.

A. First use the training documents below, and as a last resort the email links below to request a assistance from the appropriate building personnel. Be sure to provide identifying information in your email to tell us who you are (name and relationship), which student, grade, and/or teacher this concerns, and how you can be reached (by email and phone).

B. Parent and student accounts may be disabled during the summer months, and reactivated after the first day of the new school year. New accounts may be created in accordance with the instructions outlined in the "Related Files" attachment (below). Existing accounts should work as usual, provided you have not changed email providers, passwords, and the school records are current and consistent for all of your children in our schools.

Note: District employees cannot see your username & password data, because this information is sent directly from the MMS server to your personal email address. Follow the instructions that we've provided! Check your spam or junk email, as well. If you are missing or mis-matching any of the required information, or using a different email address that is not on file with the school, the MMS system will generate an 'attempted security breach' message. We will attempt to assist you as a last resort, and as time permits, if you email the appropriate person listed below.

To create an account you will need: 1) an active Email address that is on file with the school, and 2) each child's Student/Lunch ID #. Then, use these instructions to set-up your "new" MMS Parent Account.

District employees cannot see your temporary or permanent password. This information is created and sent directly from the MMS server to your email address that is on file with the school. If you are missing, mistyping, spacing, or upper/lowercasing any of this information and the data that you enter does not match our files, the MMS system will generate an "attempted security breach'" error. If you cannot resolve your own account problems, we will attempt to assist you as time permits, upon receipt of a written request to the email address of the office staff identified. Email your identification and the problem details to the person listed on this page to request assistance. Please, do not call the office - your request must be in writing. Thank you.

Use these QuickSteps to update/confirm the information the school has on file for your child. This also provides tips for you to create or extend an MMS Parent account to include additional children. Use this to begin updating Student demographic data online (address, phone, email, etc.), or just click [Next] and [Submit], if nothing has changed.
