Boiling Springs High School junior Dylan MacIvor won third place in the Benjamin Franklin Scholar Award essay competition sponsored by The Pennsylvania Society. He received a check for $1000.00 for his essay entitled “Patriotic Dissent.” The competition was open to all juniors in the state of Pennsylvania, and this was the second year in a row a Boiling Springs High School student earned one of the top three awards. Dylan will be honored during the annual meeting of The Pennsylvania Society on April 30 in Erie, PA.
