BSHS senior Kendall Kauffman, a blended learning student (part-cyber and part-traditional), was recognized by In Stride magazine's November issue, a USHJA* publication.

Kendall Kauffman: 'A Bright Light in the Equestrian World'

According to Kendall's mom, "cyber schooling allows her to ride and show." Recently, Kendall has had the following impressive accomplishments. She
*was selected to attend an Emerging Athletes Program in NJ for week and ride with Olympic rider Anne Kursinski
*was awarded the Make a Dream Grant which allowed her to show in NY at Junior Hunter Finals East Coast (you had to qualify, riders from far away as TX rode and she placed 5th in her 1st class)
*attended United States Pony Finals in KY and placed 12th over fences and 19th overall out of 90 riders (August) 
*attended Stir Cup Finals in Gettysburg and won the Classic round out of 20 riders from NY, NJ, and PA (September)
*qualified for Zone 2 Finals at the PA National Horse Show, and she took Reserve Champion (they take the top 15 riders from NY, NJ, and PA) (October)
*won the Erin Jenkins Central PA Junior Horse Show Assoc Sportsmanship Award (November)
