Athletic Event Attendance

2020-10-07

Hello Bubblers,

This message is to let you know that we have revised our attendance plan for our upcoming home games for the fall sports season with the recent release of the Governor’s new orders and the Maximum Capacity Calculators for Indoor and Outdoor Events (contained within this FAQ). You will find the details for stadium events and gymnasium events below:

Stadium events (like Band, Cheerleading, Field Hockey, Football, and Soccer)

Friday Night Football (Band, Cheerleading, and Football)

  • All student athletes/participants are to attend all home games. Every student athlete/participant is allotted two (2) tickets per home event to give to significant family members, like mom and dad.

  • All coaches and directors are to attend all home games. However, coaches and directors are not allotted any additional tickets. This is to save room for our grade 12 Senior Class.

  • All students in grade 12 (our Senior Class) are invited to attend all home events.

  • The remaining spots are dedicated to game personnel, like referees and game workers.

  • Outdoor events are capped at 25% of our stadium capacity, which is 500. This cap includes participants, coaches/directors, referees, game workers, and spectators.

  • Football players, cheerleaders, grade 12 students, and parents are asked to enter the stadium using the gate at the east end of the stadium near the restrooms.

  • The band and officials are asked to enter the stadium using the gate at the west end of the stadium near the scoreboard.

  • The Band and Senior Class will have designated seats on the west end of the home side bleachers.

  • Parents are asked to practice social distancing to fill the east end of the home bleachers and the visitor bleachers (remember, there are no visiting fans, bands, or cheerleaders, so those seats should be utilized to maintain social distance between family groups).

While we have been able to increase the number of spectators for our home games due to the new Governor’s order, we realize that many of our devoted Bubbler fans still will not be able to attend these Friday Night Football Games.  With this in mind, we want to remind you that we will be live streaming our home football games this season. The link to access the live streaming of the game will be posted on the district website prior to kickoff. The link provided on the District website is the official link to our livestream, and the one you can rely on to view the game this Friday night.

Field Hockey and Soccer

  • All student athletes/participants are to attend all home games. Every student athlete/participant is allotted two (2) tickets per home event to give to significant family members, like mom and dad.

  • All coaches are to attend all home games. However, coaches are not allotted any additional tickets.

  • Spots are dedicated to game personnel, like referees and game workers.

  • Outdoor events are capped at 25% our stadium capacity, which is 500. This cap includes participants, coaches/directors, referees, game workers, and spectators.

  • With smaller participant numbers (Thus, smaller parent numbers), more tickets are available to additional spectators on a first come first served basis until we reach the 500 person cap.

  • Our Bubblers, athletes, and parents are asked to enter the stadium using the gate at the east end of the stadium near the restrooms.

  • Parents are asked to practice social distancing to fill the home bleachers. The visiting parents will be asked to maintain a social distance between family groups in the bleachers on the visitor’s side.

Gymnasium Events (Volleyball)

Volleyball

  • All student athletes/participants are to attend all home games. Every student athlete/participant is allotted two (2) tickets per home event to give to significant family members, like mom and dad.

  • All coaches are to attend all home games. However, coaches are not allotted any additional tickets.

  • Spots are dedicated to game personnel, like referees and game workers.

  • Indoor events are capped at 20% of our gymnasium capacity, which is 100. This cap includes participants, coaches, referees, game workers, and spectators.

  • Parents are asked to practice social distancing to fill the bleachers.

  • There will be no visiting team fans allowed into our buildings.

While the decision has been made to increase the number of spectators for volleyball games, we realize that many of our devoted Bubbler fans still will not be able to attend these home contests. With this in mind, we want to remind you that we will be live streaming our home volleyball games via Huddle. The link to access the live streaming of the games will be posted on the district website prior to the start of the match.

For those who are able to attend any of our home events in person, I want to remind everyone of our four precautionary measures that we will follow:

  • Face Coverings/Masks are required.

  • Maintain a 6ft social distance between family groups in the stands and as you enter and exit the stadium/gymnasium.

  • Take care of your hands by practicing effective hand hygiene. Wash your hands with soap and water for 20-30 seconds before the game, when you use district restrooms, and after the game. Hand sanitizer is available at stadium and gymnasium events.

  • We will have intensified cleaning. Therefore, our facilities will be cleaned and sanitized for game day.

Remember, it is not just getting back to school and athletic action that is our focus. Our collective focus should be to remain in school by implementing the four precautionary measures at our athletic events, as well as throughout the school day. If we practice these four precautionary measures, then we will be able to stay in school and have extra curricular activities. This requires everyone’s full effort and cooperation!

Have a great evening. Go Bubblers!
